How it works

  1. 01

Pick your pairs. One to three famous bottles, each with its dupe. We’ll suggest some that won’t wreck the budget.

  2. 02

Print the kit. Bag tags, ballots, reveal cards, and a host sheet with the answers, for your eyes only.

  3. 03

Bag, pour, vote. Everyone tastes both glasses and bets on the splurge.

  4. 04

The reveal. Prices on the table. Somebody’s palate is about to be humbled.

  • Each pair of bottles you picked
  • One paper bag per bottle (or a sock, we don’t judge)
  • Two glasses per person, or rinse in between

Hosting tips

  • Pour small. About 4 cl per glass. You’re tasting, not drinking, and you’ll want a round two.
  • Hide everything. Capsules give it away, so bag the whole neck. Shake hands with no one who saw the shopping.
  • Shuffle the letters. Don’t always make A the splurge. Your guests are cleverer than they look.
  • Same temperature. Chill both whites together and open both reds together, or the warmer glass gives it away.
  • Read nothing aloud until every ballot is in.

Somebody’s going to ask where to buy the cheap one. Every pair has its full comparison here: taste side by side, why it’s a dupe, where to grab it. Next party, there are 9,656 more pairs to try.

For adults of legal drinking age. Pour small, drink water, and nobody drives. Sip responsibly.
